Governance

Token holders will have full control over deFix3 through decentralized governance.

The current DAO, defix3.sputnik-dao.near, is managed using the SputnikDAO contract.

At the moment the DAO is configured with 2 distinct roles:

  1. Council members which have the ability to create proposals and vote on them.

  2. Community members who can only vote on proposals.

Proposals are considered to be approved or rejected by the majority of the Council or the Community, depending on the proposal. In general, the Council will respect the decision of the Community and abstain from voting on most proposals.

The DFX3 token has not yet been issued. Once available, users who hold and lock DFX3 tokens in the DAO will have the ability to vote on governance proposals.
